A footprint-shaped mark was once cut into this cedar. Over time, the tree grew around that trace, folding it into its own living history. In this diptych, subtle touches of copper follow the grain like fragments of light, revealing the meeting between a human passage and the quiet memory of the forest. Every piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the copper accents may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
