The story of this piece
The western red cedar — sacred to the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest — carries centuries of coastal rain in its bark. This print preserves one fleeting meeting between hand, ink, and living wood. Every piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the grain and ink may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
