Terms of Sale

Scope

These Terms of Sale govern all purchases made on footprint-of-nature.com and through Footprint of Nature, the business of artist Marc Lefebvre, located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Final Sales

All sales are final. Due to the handcrafted and unique nature of each artwork, returns are accepted only in the case of a verified defect or damage incurred during shipping. In such cases, the customer has 7 business days after receipt to report any issue by email to haysarnaud@gmail.com, accompanied by photographs documenting the damage.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), taxes extra where applicable. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. No credit card data is stored on our servers. A 30% deposit is required for custom orders; the balance is due before shipment.

Shipping

Orders are shipped within 5–7 business days from Victoria, British Columbia, via Canpar or Canada Post, with tracking number. Large-format works are packed in museum-grade protective materials and shipped in flat boxes. Delivery times are provided as estimates and do not constitute a contractual commitment. Footprint of Nature cannot be held responsible for carrier delays.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are subject to a personalized quote and a separate agreement. The creation period is 2–4 weeks from the deposit payment. Each custom piece is unique and cannot be exchanged or refunded, except for manufacturing defects noted upon receipt.

Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, BC.

Privacy Policy

Footprint of Nature is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and visitors, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal privacy law.

Data Collected

We collect only the data strictly necessary for order processing and customer relations: name, email address, shipping address, and order details. No banking data is collected or stored by us — payment processing is entirely handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

Cookies

This site uses a minimal number of cookies: one technical session cookie (required for cart functionality), and anonymised analytics cookies to measure traffic (without transfer of data to advertising third parties). No advertising tracking cookies are used.

Your Rights

In accordance with GDPR and PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at: haysarnaud@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Data Retention

Order-related data is retained for 7 years for accounting purposes, in compliance with Canadian legal obligations. Contact data not converted to a purchase is deleted after 2 years of inactivity.
