The story of this piece
Copper Fir Echo Diptych is made from an approximately 80-year-old Douglas fir from Cowichan Valley. Split across two 22x28 panels, the circular grain opens like a quiet echo between the two pieces. Black ink carries the deep rhythm of the rings, while copper touches reveal the bark edge and the warmth of the wood. Each piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the grain, ink and copper tones may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
