The story of this piece
In the deep of a Vancouver Island winter night, this tree bark was pressed onto dark slate. The golden lines shimmer like the last light through a forest canopy — a moment of warmth preserved against darkness. Every piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the grain and ink may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
