The story of this piece
Created from an approximately 80-year-old cedar from Shawnigan Lake, this two-panel work carries the quiet strength of Vancouver Island wood. The grain opens across both prints like a shared landscape, with each ring marking seasons of rain, growth and stillness. Every piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the grain and ink may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
