The story of this piece

Shawnigan Copper Cedar is pressed from an approximately 80-year-old cedar from Shawnigan Lake. The dark tree rings move outward with a soft, organic rhythm, while copper accents reveal the warmth of the wood beneath the grain. Made as a single 22 x 28 inch piece, it brings a quiet Vancouver Island presence to natural interiors, cabins and collected spaces. Every piece is pressed entirely by hand, so the grain, ink and copper tones may vary slightly with the pressure of each impression. These natural variations make every edition singular and impossible to repeat exactly.
